Facebook's mobile messaging platform, WhatsApp, gets another major update with build 2.12.9 featuring 3D Touch gestures for Apple's flagship iPhones, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The new WhatsApp build enables users to analyse in-app content like videos, links, pictures, contacts cards and locations in chats through 3D Touch gestures like Peek and Pop.
As its name suggests, Peek will allow you to zoom-out and get over-the-top view of everything, while the Pop function will zoom-in to provide a better view of the in-app features. Home screen shortcuts via 3D Touch are not yet available in this release, confirms iDownloadBlog.
The report also adds that the 3D Touch function is disabled for previewing contents of conversation in the message list as well as for using Quick Reply feature to respond to a message from within its banner notification.
