Male Escort Accused of Swindling 'Roblox' Widow Out of $6M Underwent Extreme Plastic Surgery for Chiseled Look

A grieving widow's lawsuit alleges that millions of dollars were obtained by a lover, while his own social media documents an extensive physical transformation. Marianne Flippo has sued male escort Gregg Starr, alleging he obtained nearly $6 million from her through an allegedly fraudulent 'Exit Agreement'.

The Manhattan Supreme Court filing paints a picture of manipulation, medication and money. Flippo, 49, filed suit on Monday against Starr, 38, a silver-haired companion she met through Cowboys 4 Angels, the male escort agency featured on Showtime's Gigolos.

Social media footage reviewed alongside the case shows Starr discussing cosmetic surgery and the sculpted appearance he sought to achieve.

A Widow's Fortune After Loss

Flippo turned to the escort agency months after her husband, Chad Flippo, an early Roblox employee and programmer, died by suicide on 5 August 2024. The pair had been together since she was 13, sharing 28 years of marriage and three children, while Chad's work connected him to the software behind the hit gaming platform.

'He did very well,' said her attorney Larry Hutcher, who declined to disclose the exact sum. A friend of the late Chad Flippo had recommended Cowboys 4 Angels when Marianne needed a travel companion, according to the filing.

At the time Starr allegedly began manipulating her, Flippo was grieving, recovering from surgery, battling a severe infection and taking prescription medication, including an opioid, according to the complaint.

The filing describes her as being, in effect, under 'Stockholm syndrome' and Starr's 'Svengali-like control', characterisations made in the court papers rather than independent medical findings.

The Atlanta Hotel Room and Exit Agreement

The alleged scheme intensified during a trip to Atlanta earlier this year, when Flippo says she was taking strong medication following surgery.

She alleges Starr and a Cowboys 4 Angels handler plied her with alcohol and pressured her into signing a $10 million (£7.4 million) 'Exit Agreement' in a Four Seasons hotel room to buy Starr out of his contract with the agency.

When she tried to wire the full sum, her bank recalled the transfer over fraud concerns. 'While this should have been a wake-up call for me,' Flippo said in the filing, 'it was not.'

Starr allegedly convinced Flippo to open a joint bank account under both their names, and she went on to transfer nearly $5.95 million (£4.4 million) into it.

The lawsuit alleges that roughly $5.7 million (£4.2 million) was later moved out of that joint account and into an account controlled by Starr, with Flippo claiming he has been rapidly spending the money.

The arrangement fell apart in June, when Flippo hired Hutcher to negotiate the balance of the agreement. Hutcher recalled telling Starr that the arrangement was 'not even close' and did not 'pass any smell test by any stretch of the imagination'.

Flippo's lawsuit alleges Starr later threatened to move or hide the money unless she paid a further $4 million (£2.96 million).

Starr's Cosmetic Transformation

Court papers and Starr's own social media output now sit side by side, with footage documenting an extensive physical transformation.

The New York Post reported that Starr discussed cosmetic procedures intended to create a more sculpted physique and what he described as an 'icy stare', with videos and before-and-after material showing the results.

The cosmetic-surgery reports are separate from Flippo's financial allegations, and the available reporting does not establish that her money funded the procedures. Starr's social media posts nevertheless provide a separate glimpse into the appearance he has sought to create.

Starr Denies the Allegations

Starr has pushed back hard against Flippo's account. Speaking to the New York Post, he said much of the money had gone towards shared expenses and charitable donations, claiming roughly $3 million (£2.22 million) remained, and maintained that he genuinely loved Flippo.

He disputes her characterisation of the Atlanta hotel-room signing and has said the Exit Agreement was Flippo's idea and one he did not want.

Starr has also claimed that he was subjected to abusive treatment during the relationship, while his attorney has argued that the lawsuit presents only one side of a more complicated story.

Flippo is asking the Manhattan Supreme Court to order Starr to return the money she alleges he obtained from her and to compensate her for legal fees. Cowboys 4 Angels is not named as a defendant in the case and has not publicly commented on the allegations.

The case now heads towards further filings in Manhattan, with Flippo alleging coercion and financial exploitation while Starr maintains that the relationship and financial arrangements have been mischaracterised.
