WWE is reportedly planning something big for WrestleMania 33, which is scheduled for 2 April 2017. According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Brock Lesnar and Shane McMahon could headline at WWE's biggest pay-per-view event.

The Beast Incarnate last stepped into the WWE ring for a match with Randy Orton at this year's SummerSlam, where the 39-year-old wrestler left the Viper in a pool of blood. The probability of the fight between Lesnar and the SmackDown commissioner makes sense as after the fight with Orton ended, the former had dropped the F5 on McMahon. He was not pleased with Lesnar's actions and slammed the mixed martial artist in the following episode of SmackDown.

Ahead of WrestleMania 33, Lesnar will fight Bill Goldberg at Survivor Series on 20 November. Goldberg's WWE return was a mere rumour about a month back, but Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman challenged him on behalf of the 39-year-old wrestler and the former WCW and WWE world heavyweight champion accepted it when he appeared on Raw on 7 October.

"I [Bill Goldberg] thought to myself, maybe I have one last ass-kicking in me ... maybe I have one last Spear in me ... maybe I have one last devastating Jackhammer in me," Goldberg said at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. "So, Brock Lesnar, not only does that mean that you're next, but most importantly, it means, Brock Lesnar, you're last!"

The two superstars last fought in 2004 at WrestleMaina 20, which Goldberg won.
