Spider-Girl
Marvel's Spider-Girl Marvel Comics

Marvel fans are eagerly-awaiting to see how Spider-Man gets inducted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside the Avengers. Fans of Andrew Garfield might be disappointed as Marvel reportedly wants to start afresh with Spider-Man. So what or who do you think will this upcoming version of Spidey be?

A Moviepilot report suggests that it need not be Peter Parker. As per the report, Marvel could explore one of the many incarnations of Spider-Man that have appeared in Marvel comics over the years - like Spider-Girl.

May Parker is her name and she happens to be the daughter of Peter and Mary Jane Parker. She was named after Peter Parker's Aunt May.

Marvel published a series of comics about the alternate reality adventures of Peter's grown-up daughter, May Parker. She inherited her father's spider powers and began fighting crime as Spider-Girl.

It would be cool to see a female take on the role as the iconic super hero, while it will be awesome to see Spider-Girl's back story on the big screen.

Maybe Marvel could use May Parker in their upcoming films as someone filling in for the retired Peter Parker? This way, they could say the old Spider-Man movies happened in the past, and have May join the current Avengers.

Spider-Girl was the longest-running superhero book with a lead female character ever published by Marvel before being re-launched as The Amazing Spider-Girl, and later The Spectacular Spider-Girl.
