Xiaomi Mi5 specs revealed

Thanks to notorious Twitter leakstar, upleaks we now have information about another Xiaomi device bearing model number H3Y and codename Hermes, it belongs to Xiaomi's Redmi line-up.

Xiaomi's product roadmap leaked earlier this month suggests that the company is planning for a bunch of smartphones such as Mi4s, Redmi Note Pro, Note 2 and Note 2 Pro, which are scheduled for lunch in July. There was some confusion over the H3 series devices, which as the roadmap clarifies; H3X stands for the Redmi Note 2 whereas, H3Y is for Redmi Note 2 Pro, reports GSMArena.

The aforementioned Xiaomi H3Y device, which is likely to be the Redmi Note 2 Pro, is ready to go for mass production with specifications including MediaTek MT6795 octa-core processor with 64-bit computing support, while coupled with 2GB RAM (RAM size is yet to be confirmed and could be of 3GB). It would offer 16GB internal storage.

The screen size of the phone is not known yet, but it would be of FHD. Additionally, there would be a 13 megapixel rear camera with Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL sensor and five megapixel front-facing Selfie camera having OmniVision OV5670.

The phone would run MIUI 6 based on Android version 5.0 or, 5.1. It is expected to boast metallic design and support IR Remote. Along with the hardware details, upleaks has also posted a couple of render of the upcoming Redmi device.
