The winter landscape of Frisco, Texas, turned from a scene of seasonal joy into one of profound local mourning following a weekend tragedy. What began as a typical snow day for a group of teenagers ended in a catastrophic incident that has sent shockwaves through the community.

What was supposed to be fun turned tragic after two girls sledging were pulled by an accelerating Jeep Wrangler before it struck a curb and collided with a tree, leaving both with life-threatening injuries. One of the girls succumbed to her injuries, and the loss serves as a stark reminder of how quickly celebratory moments can transform into a public safety crisis.

Who Was Elizabeth Marie Angle

Elizabeth Marie Angle was known for her vibrant presence and involvement in her school community. Faculty members and schoolmates remembered Angle as an outgoing student full of vigour, energy, and dreams.

Angle was athletic and played centre back for FC Dallas 2009G. Coach Luis Ramos described the late teenager in a tribute on Facebook as 'The calm voice' and 'The steady step when the game felt heavy'.

She had reportedly broken her ankle and undergone surgery. While she was not able to join her team in games, she remained with them in spirit and demonstrated resilience throughout her recovery.

'Healing tested her patience. Pain tested her faith. But Angle chose resilience. Again. And again,' the coach wrote before concluding his post with a heartfelt tribute to the late athlete, calling her: 'Our defender. Our teammate. Forever part of us.'

Her academic and social life in Frisco reflected a teenager with a bright future and a wide circle of supportive peers. Angle's death has not only affected her immediate family but has also resonated deeply within the school where she spent her daily life.

'A Brave Soul'

In the wake of the tragedy, Angle's mother, Megan Taylor Angle, took to social media to share the devastating news with friends and family and paid a heartbreaking tribute to her daughter. She remembered Angle as a 'bright light, a fun spirit, a brave soul,' as she announced her unexpected passing on Facebook.

'She just got a car and a license and had her whole life ahead of her. It was all taken away so abruptly in a sledding accident yesterday,' Megan added. 'Life is fleeting and precious. I take comfort that she had people helping her til the end.'

She asked friends to include the family in their prayers as they navigate the loss. 'We will never be the same and never forget how much love she brought to our family,' the grieving mother added.
