AC/DC, often referred to as the world's most iconic rock band, is set to return to Australia in late 2025 with a series of stadium shows in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane.
The announcement has sent shockwaves through the music scene, as fans scramble for tickets that sold out rapidly. With new dates added in response to overwhelming demand, this tour promises to be one of the most significant live events of the year.
The legendary band is touring for their 2020 album, POWER UP, which debuted at number one on the ARIA Chart and in more than 20 countries worldwide. The album's success was remarkable, earning the band their third number one on the Billboard 200 and earning nominations for three Grammy Awards. AC/DC's last Australian tour was in 2015, making this return long-awaited by many.
Tour Details and Key Dates
Tickets for the Australian leg went on sale on Thursday, 26 June, with staggered times to manage the high volume of buyers. Almost immediately they were overwhelmed with demand and decided to add additional shows.
The first show in Melbourne will be held at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on 12 November 2025, with a second date added on 16 November due to popularity. Similarly, Sydney fans can secure their tickets for 21 November at Accor Stadium, with a second show scheduled for 25 November.
In Brisbane, the Suncorp Stadium will host a show on 14 December, with an additional concert planned for 18 December. Perth's Optus Stadium will welcome AC/DC on 4 December. Tickets for these events are available through Ticketek and Ticketmaster, with some shows already selling out and others seeing new dates added rapidly.
Extra Shows Reflect Fan Enthusiasm
Within moments of ticket sales opening, additional dates were announced for Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. The second Melbourne show will now take place on 16 November, ensuring fans in Victoria do not miss out. In Sydney, the extra concert on 25 November follows the initial event on 21 November. Brisbane's second show will be on 18 December, allowing more local fans to see the band live.

Supporting Acts and Tour Highlights
On this tour, AC/DC will be joined by Australian rockers Amyl and The Sniffers. Amyl and the Sniffers are an Australian punk rock band renowned for their high-energy performances and distinctive sound, and are comprised of vocalist Amy Taylor, guitarist Declan Mehrtens, bassist Gus Romer, and drummer Bryce Wilson. They draw inspiration from classic punk bands such as Iggy Pop and the Stooges, whilst also incorporating elements of pub rock and garage rock.
