What's next on Arrow season 3? TheCW

Arrow season 3 returns this Wednesday, 15 April with episode 19 titled Broken Arrow. Fans are eager to find out what's in store for Team Arrow following the shocking events of episode 18, where Roy Harper handed himself over to Captain Lance in a bid to save Oliver from being framed for murder.

The official synopsis for Broken Arrow reads: "Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) continues his mission to take down the Arrow (Stephen Amell) so Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) orders Oliver to keep a low profile. However, when a meta-human named Jake Simmons (Doug Jones), who kills people with blasts of energy and plasma, starts terrorizing Starling City, Oliver is forced to ask Ray (Brandon Routh) for help. The unlikely duo is forced to team up to save the city."

Oliver finally joins the League of Assassins?

A trailer of the upcoming episode shows Oliver apparently becoming Ra's al Ghul, demanding the League to address him as Al Sah-him, Heir to the Demon. According to rumours, Roy Harper's death (due to being stabbed by one of the inmates while in prison) pushes Oliver to a breaking point and he eventually accepts Ra's offer.

However, a Melty report suggests that joining the League of Assassins is part of Oliver's plan. "All signs are pointing towards Ollie finally giving in, but many fans remain convinced that agreeing to replace Ra's may just be a part of his masterplan to destroy the League once and for all."

The fan theory does make sense, as the show draws closer to its season finale. Maybe Oliver becomes 'Al Sah-him' to gain control and power over the League but, over the final episodes, successfully manages to destroy it leading to the season finale (which in that case is quite aptly titled) - My Name is Oliver Queen - where he reassumes his regular identity.

The synopsis for episode 21 titled Al Sah-him, reveals that Oliver is about to undergo a "rigorous transformation".

The episode synopsis, which airs on 29 April, reads as follows: "Oliver goes through a rigorous transformation. The League of Assassins sets their sights on Nyssa, who is back in Starling City training Laurel. When Nyssa realizes they are coming, she arms up to face them alone but Laurel asks Felicity and Diggle to help protect her new friend."
