Every game is going to be tough. It was a good effort from our boys in this game. We got the runs on the board and then bowled well. They (Boult and Southee) are world-class bowlers. We will go horses for courses again in Delhi. Every team wants to win the World Cup. We got to keep improving as a team.

"It was very tough but we can take some positives, like Mustafizur's five-for today. Batting was really difficult. Probably if it was around 120 we would have had a chance. His cutter is very difficult to pick. Our batters also struggle in the nets. Hopefully he will play for 10 more years for Bangladesh. They are a tough side. I just want to wish them good luck for the semis."
Man of the Match Kane Williamson
It was pretty tough, it spun and kept low, batting in the first six was nice but it got a lot tougher," he says. "I think it was a good batting effort all around. Guys came in and played good cameos. It's very tough, going into each game it's important to read the wicket and opposition as best you can and pick the best team accordingly.

Mustafizur Rahman is the new man in the middle. SIX...!!! He smashes over long on for a six and they WICKET...!!! is sent back to the pavilion after giving a simple catch to Ronchi. Al-Amin Hossain starts with a dot ball.

Mortaza is on strike and Sodhi will continue with the ball. Gets away with a lose ball as Mortaza's pull shot results only in a single. FOUR...!!! A little inside edge goes in between keeper's legs to the boundary. Hom ends the over with a single.

Elliott bowls his third over. After a dot ball, Hom takes a single and brings Mortaza on strike. He gets off the mark with a single. That brings Bangladesh's 50. Two dot balls is followed by one more dot ball to end the over.
Over 12: Bangladesh 48 for 7: Shuvagata Hom 3 (5)
Sodhi continues his second over. After a dot ball, Shuvgata takes a single. After two dot balls, Mahmudullah takes a single, followed by a singe from Shuvagata. WICKET...!!! Mahmudllah beaten completely and he becomes another batsman to be bowled in a match.

Over 11: Bangladesh 45 for 6: Shuvagata Hom 1 (2), Mahmudullah 4 (5)
Mushfiqur Rahim is the new man in the middle and Elliott is brought back into the attack. Mahmudullah takes a single of the second ball. WICKET...!!! Elliott gets slight turne and it beats Mushfiqur and clips the bails as it goes to the keeper. Brilliant piece of bowling that from him.
Shuvagata Hom is the new man in the middle. After a dot ball, Hom gets off the mark with a single.
Over 10: Bangladesh 43 for 5: Mahmudullah 3 (3)
Ish Sodhi is the new bowler introduced into the attack. Starts with three singles, followed by one more single. Mahmudullah takes one more single. WICKET...!!! Last ball of the over and extra bounce and spin from Sodhi comes as a surprise for Sarkar, who was already coming down the wicket. Quick piece of think from Sodhi results in a stumping, ending Sarkar's time in the middle.
Over 9: Bangladesh 38 for 4: Mahmudullah 0 (0), Soumya Sarkar 4 (5)
Mccullum is brought back into the attack. Sarkar takes a single off the first ball, followed by one more single of the reverse sweep from Sabbir. A wide on the leg side after that is followed by a single.
WICKET...!!! Sabbir looks for a big shot and in the process, ends up giving a catch to Santner. It was a brilliant catch by the left-arm spinner and Mccullum gets his first wicket. Mahmudullah is the new man in the middle and starts from the non strikers end.
Over 8: Bangladesh 34 for 3: Soumya Sarkar 2 (2), Sabbir Rehman 11 (15)
Santner is brought back into the attack. WICKET...!!! Shakib looks to lofts over long on and clear the boundary. He gets only the first part right as it ends in McCullum's hand, which brings an end to his time in the middle.
Soumya Sarkar is the new man in the middle and gets off the mark with a single. It is followed by two quick singles. Ends the over with two dot balls.
Over 6: Bangladesh 30 for 2: Shakib Al Hasan 1 (1), Sabbir Rehman 10 (10)
Mitchell McClenaghan is the new man introduced into the attack. Starts with a dot ball and then Mithun takes a single, followed by one more singe from Sabbir. WICKET...!!! Mohammad Mithun exposes the stumps and McClenaghan, who came around the wicket gets his first wicket as the ball hits the stumps.
Shakib Al Hasan is the new man in the middle and gets off the mark straight away with a single. A dot ball to finish the over. A wicket and 3 runs from it.
Over 5: Bangladesh 27 for 1: Mohammad Mithun 10 (14), Sabbir Rehman 9 (8)
Santner to continue his second over. Sabbit on strike and starts the over with a dot ball. FOUR...!!! Goes over mid on and Sabbir gets his and Bangladesh's first boundary in the fifth over, followed by a single.
FOUR...!!! Mithun finds the gap through backward point and gets his first boundary, followed by a single. FOUR...!!! Ends the over with a leg bye as the ball races to the boundary in no time.

Anderson continues his second over. Mithun wanted a quick single and this time he gets it as the throw did not hit the stumps. Sabbir flicks it towards deep square leg and gets a double to get off the mark. A dot ball and single of the leg bye brings Sabbir on strike for the last ball. He ends the over with a single.

Mitchell Santner is the new bowler introduced into the attack, while Sabbir Rehman is the new man in the middle. Mithun hits it straight down the ground and a brilliant save results in a double, followed by a single. Sabbir is on strike for the first time and starts with a dot ball.

Mithun is on strike for the first time and Corey Anderson will bowl the second over. Starts with two dot balls. He gets off the mark with a single. Tamim on strike and the ball hits the pad. An appeal from Anderson and his teammates has been turned down by the umpire. He flicks it over midwicket and gets a single.
WICKET...!!! Third man inside the circle and Mithun places it to him for a quick single. Tamim is running towards the danger end. Direct hit from Munro ends Tamim's time in the middle.
Over 20: New Zealand 145 for 8: Mitchell McClenaghan 6 (1), Luke Ronchi 9 (5)
Mustafizur to bowl the last over and Santner is on strike for the first team. Right up in the block hole and Santner takes a single, followed by a single from Ronchi. Santner plays it through long on and a quick running between the wickets allows him to take a double.
WICKET...!!! Off cutter from Mustafizur and Mitchell Santner misses the ball. The ball hits the off stump and his short time in the middle comes to an end. WICKET...!!! Nathan McCullum is the new man in the middle and a slower delivery results in it clipping the bails. SIX...!!! Mitchell McClenaghan smashes the last ball of the innings over long on for a six.

Al-Amin to bowl the penultimate over and Taylor is on strike. FOUR...!!!Taylor smashes it over long off and one bounce four. WICKET...!!! Taylor hits to deep square leg and Mithun takes a brilliant catch to end Taylor's time in the middle.
Mitchell Santner has made his way through the middle. Bottom edge and it goes to the keeper. No run taken. FOUR...!!! Third man is inside the circle along with backward square leg and it results in a boundary, followed by a double. Dropped and that allows Ronchi to take a double.

Mustafizur is back into the attack. Elliott gets off the strike with a single. New Zealand are dealing with singles now. WICKET...!!! Off cutter from Mustafizur and Elliott was looking to place it over deep midwicket. However, it takes a top edge and Hom, who was at midwicket takes a brilliant catch while running backwards.
Over 17 New Zealand 118 for 4: Grant Elliott 7 (4), Ross Taylor 21 (19)
Shakib is brought back into the attack. Four more overs left and Elliott is on strike and takes a single off the first ball. SIX..!!! Taylor sweeps it over deep midwicket for a six into the stands.
FOUR...!!! Elliott lofts it over bowlers head and after one bounce, the ball crosses the boundary. It is followed by a quick single. A rare dot ball to end the over.

Mortaza is back into the attack. Taylor misses the slower delivery. He then flicks it to deep square leg and Al-Amin drops a simple catch, allowing Taylor to take a single. That brings New Zealand's 100.
WICKET...!!! Anderson gets bowled even before he opens his account. He needs to go back and had Al-Amin taken the catch, it would have been a double break through for Bangladesh.
Grant Elliott gets off the mark with a single off the first ball. FOUR..!!! Third man is inside the circle and Taylor cuts it past the fielder for a boundary.
Over 15: New Zealand 99 for 3: Corey Anderson 0 (1), Ross Taylor 9 (13)
Al-Amin is brought back into the attack. A swing and a miss as Munro is on strike. SIX...!!! Munro lofts it over long on and the fielder there is just a spectator as the ball goes into the stands, followed by a single leg bye. Taylor takes one more single.
WICKET...!!! Munro looks to smash the ball once again. This time he fails to connect and that results in the ball hitting the middle stump. Ends the over with a dot ball.
Over 14: New Zealand 91 for 2: Colin Munro 29 (29), Ross Taylor 8 (12)
Mahmudullah is brought back into the attack. FOUR...!!! Munro smashes it straight over bowlers head for his first boundary. There was a chance of a run out as a mid pitch collision between two batsmen could have resulted in a run out. SIX...!!! Munro smashes down the ground and this time the result is different as he gets maximum runs. Ends the over with a single.
Over 13: New Zealand 78 for 2: Colin Munro 17 (24), Ross Taylor 7 (11)
Al-Amin is brought back. Bangladesh are changing their bowlers regularly. Three singles of the first three balls. A wide is followed by two dot balls. FOUR...!!! Taylor misses to make contact and it also beats the fielder, resulting in four byes.
Over 12: New Zealand 70 for 2: Colin Munro 15 (22), Ross Taylor 6 (7)
Hom to bowl his third over and Munro takes a single off the first ball. Two more singles and Taylor wanted one more single. There was a mix up and Munro sends back Taylor. Poor throw results in no wicket and also no run. A single from Taylor is followed by a single from Munro to end the over.
Over 10: New Zealand 59 for 2: Colin Munro 9 (16), Ross Taylor 1 (1)
Shakib is brought back into the attack and Ross Taylor is the new man in the middle, who will start from the non strikers end. The first ball hits the pad and it looked close, but umpire does not seems convinced. The replay shows it was shitting the middle stump. No run off first four balls, followed by a single.
Taylor is on strike and has a slip in place. He gets off the mark straight away with an easy single.
Over 9: New Zealand 57 for 2: Colin Munro 8 (11)
Mustafizur, who picked up the only wicket so far is brought back into the attack. Munro is on strike and a slower delivery from Mustafizur takes an inside edge and hits the bat before rolling towards the keeper. He takes a single to mid-on off the next ball.
FOUR...!!! Outside off and Williamson walks down the pitch and smashes it over extra cover boundary. A swing and a miss, followed by one more dot ball. WICKET...!!! Kane Williamson looks to move away from the stumps and flick it towards on-side. He exposes the stumps and fails to connect his bat with the ball, resulting in his dismissal.
Over 8: New Zealand 52 for 1: Kane Williamson 38 (28), Colin Munro 7 (9)
Mahmudullah is the new bowler introduced into the attack. Williamson gets off the strike with a single, followed by one more single from Munro. One more single from the captain as they are dealing with singles now. A single from Munro and then Williamson takes a double after flicking it to deep square leg. That brings New Zealand's 50. Williamson places it through extra cover and gets another double off the last ball.
Over 6: New Zealand 39 for 1: Kane Williamson 29 (20), Colin Munro 3 (5)
Al-Amin to bowl his first over, which is the last over of the powerplay. Starts with three dot balls and Munro then takes a single off the fourth ball, which helps him to get off the mark. Outside edge and third man is fine, results in a single to Williamson. Munro ends with a double to deep midwicket.
Over 4: New Zealand 25 for 1: Kane Williamson 18 (13)
Mustafizur Rahman is introduced into the attack. The left-arm bowler will bowl to Nicholls, who is on strike and starts with a dot ball. A slower delivery results in low bounce and beats the batsman. That was 116kmph.
Nicholls flicks it on the on-side and it goes straight to deep backward square, resulting in a single. Another slower ball, this time to Williamson and results in no run. This time he flicks on the on-side straight to the fielder at short fine leg and takes a single.
WICKET...!!! Last ball of the over and Mustafizur strikes first blood for Bangladesh. Nicholls misses the ball and this time it hits the off stump.

Shakib Al Hasan replaces Mortaza as Bangladesh decides to go with a double spin attack. Williamson is on strike after his single of the last ball of the previous over. FOUR...!!! Shakib bowls down the leg side and Williamson sweeps it through fine leg boundary as there was no cover since short fine leg and backward square leg was inside the circle.
A dot ball is followed by a couple. Williamson guides it through midwicket and the fielder covers it near the rope, resulting in a double. Williamson uses his feet and flicks past the backward point fielder, forcing deep midwicket to stop it from touching the rope. Williamson gets a double followed by a dot ball to end the over.
Over 2: New Zealand 15 for 0: Henry Nicholls 6 (7), Kane Williamson 9 (5)
Shuvagata Hom joins Mortaza to lead Bangladesh's bowling attack, Debutant Nicholls has a slip in place and starts with two dot balls. FOUR...!!! Shot and wide, Nicholls moves away from the stump and slices it through point for a boundary.
Nicholls smashes it straight and and it hits Williamson at the non strikers end. No run taken. It is followed by a quick single after which the medical staff is on the field to treat Williamson after he was hit by Nicholls shot. Williamson ends the over with a single.

Henry Nicholls and Kane Williamson will open New Zealand's innings. Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza has decided to bowl the first over. Nicholls came in place of Martin Guptill, who will make his debut today against Bangladesh.
After a dot ball, Nicholls gets off the mark with a single through the cover. Williamson starts with two dot balls, followed by FOUR...!!! Williamson times it very well and pushes the ball through extra cover boundary. FOUR...!!! Same shot and same result to finish the over.

"For us [me and Santner] to have had Dan [Vettori] for advise and support is really, really good because he's done that for years and to have that voice to go to whenever needed is really nice for him and myself as well.
"I think he [Santner] is a fantastic bowler in his own right. A lot of people are comparing Santner to Vettori but they are completely different bowlers and I think Santner is being himself as much as he can and it's working really well for him. I'm hoping he can continue for a long period of time."
On the other hand, Bangladesh have been eliminated from the tournament after a nail-biting finish against India saw them suffer a defeat by one run in Bangalore. The Tigers needed two runs to win with three balls to spare. Hardik Pandya picked up two wickets in the fourth and fifth delivery of the final over of the match, while the last ball was resulted in a run out, which ended their hope of making it to the last four of the tournament.
