This weekend's smartphone deals are focused on the flagship end of the market but that does not mean you need to sell an organ and remortgage the house to afford them. The good folks at Hot UK Deals have sent over some discounts for the Samsung Galaxy S6, LG G4 and Nexus 6, among others.
The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are the best Samsung smartphones for years and now you can pick up the flat-screened S6 from Mobile Phones Direct for £31.99 per month. This deal is through EE and includes unlimited calls and texts, plus 5GB of monthly 4G data. Alternatively, the S6 Edge, which is £110 more expensive through Samsung itself, can be had on the same deal for just £35 up front.
One of the best smartphones of 2015, the LG G4 cost over £500 when it went on sale in the spring, making this deal a hefty saving. The phone has a gorgeous screen with a resolution double that of Full HD; it also has an excellent camera that performs well in low light, a microSD card slot to increase storage, and a speedy processor. The price is through Expansys.com and free delivery is available.
Another member of the flagship smartphone class of 2015, the Motorola-made Nexus 6 has a massive 6in screen with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440, much higher than the equally massive iPhone 6 Plus. Power comes from a Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz and there are dual front-facing speakers to make films and games sound better than on most other handsets. This deal is also through Expansys.
Stepping away from the flagship brands but still offering great value on a big-screen handset, this Smart Ultra 6 by Vodafone is free up front and just £12.50 per month thereafter. The deal also includes 1,000 minutes and 5,000 texts, and is offered through Mobile Phones Direct. Although it lacks the premium name, this phone still has a 5.5in Full HD screen, octa-core processor, 13-megapixel camera (5MP at the front) and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
