What's Happening To Britney Spears? Manager Breaks Silence On 'Inexcusable' DUI Arrest And Recovery Plan
Cade Hudson hopes this incident will lead to positive changes in Spears' life.

Britney Spears' manager has broken his silence on the singer's shocking DUI arrest, issuing a stark and unusually candid statement as questions swirl around what happens next. Cade Hudson spoke out after the pop star was arrested for driving under the influence in California on Wednesday night.
Britney Spears Manager Calls DUI Arrest 'Unfortunate' and 'Completely Inexcusable'
In a statement obtained by Page Six, Cade Hudson used strong words to describe his reaction to Spears' arrest.
'This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable,' he said. Hudson also pointed out that Spears is working on her sobriety, and he is hoping that this is the change that the 'Toxic' singer needs in her life.
'Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney's life,' Hudson added. 'Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.'
He also shared that Spears' sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, are supporting their mother during this period, and 'are going to be spending time with her'. Hudson further stated that 'loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well-being.'
What Happened to Britney Spears?
On 4 March, Spears was arrested by the California Highway Patrol in Ventura County in California at around 9:28 p.m. local time. The pop star was alone when she was detained in Westlake Village, which is fairly close to her home in Thousand Oaks.
She was later booked at 3:02 a.m. local time before being released three hours later. The singer has yet to issue a statement addressing the incident.
Was Britney Legally Driving Under The Influence?
According to a 911 dispatch call, Spears was reported to be speeding and was dangerously swerving before authorities came for the arrest. The 44-year-old was then taken to a hospital to check her blood alcohol level. Although the hospital or the police did not disclose the information, Spears reportedly informed people that her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) testing came back with a .06 percent result.
In California, the legal (BAC) limit is 0.08% or higher. This applies to drivers 21 and older who are operating standard passenger vehicles. However, Spears was reported to be driving erratically and appeared to be impaired, which is why law enforcement decided to arrest her.
This isn't the first time that Spears has been in trouble with the law for erratic driving. On 25 October last year, footage of the pop star leaving a restaurant went viral. In the video, Spears can be seen getting into her black BMW despite several people attempting to stop her.
The footage also shows Spears swerving and driving erratically and, at one point, she is shown driving into a bike lane. It didn't take long before the video went viral, as netizens were shocked by Spears' behaviour.
Interestingly, Spears would later deny the shocking behaviour as she claimed that it wasn't her in the video. The singer insisted that the footage only showed 'a lookalike' who was trying to gain views.
