Though the Iron Man series ended with its third movie, we will get to see plenty of Tony Stark in Captain America 3.

The third part in the Captain America series is titled Civil War, based on Marvel Civil War comics, which will pit Captain America against Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man.

Throughout the Iron Man and Avengers movies, Gwyneth Paltrow appeared as Pepper Potts, Tony Stark's girlfriend/secretary.

Will she appear in Captain America 3 beside Iron Man?

In an interview with Dish Nation, Paltrow didn't deny rumours about her character being in the third installment of the Captain America series.

"I don't know. I've heard rumours that maybe, and I don't know," Paltrow said when asked if she was confirmed for a role.

And added, "My fingers are crossed. I would love to be Pepper Potts again at some point in my life."

The actress also appeared briefly in The Avengers, helping Tony with the development of Stark Tower and watching the Chitauri invasion on television in the comfort of her private plane.

The last time we saw her in Iron Man 3, she was injected with Extremis, which increases the Iron Man's armour power significantly.

Although, Tony was able to modify the virus so it wouldn't harm her or any of the other recipients.

In other news, Frank Grillo, who appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as Crossbones, is likely to return in Civil war.

In a recent interview, the actor confirmed that his character would return in the third instalment.

Grillo told Entertainment Weekly, "[Winter Soldier] was only a taste of what's to come with the next film, and I couldn't be more humbled and excited."

"They just kind of called and said, 'What kind of shape are you in? We're going to need a body scan.' They scan your body so that whatever you wear fits you like a glove....We all know what Crossbones represents in his world, so when they called me and said we gotta do the body scan, I was like 'Okay!'" he added.
