'I'm Glad He Cheated': Fitness Influencer's Wife's Cheating Exposé Backfires After She Calls Mistress 'Dirty Indonesian'
Scarlett initially received public support after posting about her relationship, but criticism intensified after derogatory comments and questions about the couple's separation emerged

What began as a viral exposure of marital infidelity has turned into a widespread public backlash after fitness influencer George Armstrong's wife, Bailey Scarlett, used xenophobic remarks against the woman involved in the controversy.
The drama started when Scarlett gained access to Armstrong's official social media accounts. Using his personal handle to air their private dispute, she posted to his public feed and Instagram stories, which are now deleted from Armstrong's accounts.
Public sympathy was initially firmly on Scarlett's side after she took to social media to reveal her husband's alleged infidelity. Comment sections across social media were flooded with messages of support, validating her decision to speak out publicly and condemning Armstrong's actions.
However, that support dissolved overnight following the release of subsequent posts to his feed and Instagram stories, in which Scarlett repeatedly used derogatory slurs, referring to a mistress as a 'dirty Indonesian prostitute.'
Social Media Shift and Public Backlash
Social media users who had previously defended Scarlett quickly condemned the language, pointing out that while infidelity is unacceptable, it does not permit her to use xenophobic attacks.
Online discussion threads quickly turned against her, with users pointing out the harmful implications of her statements regarding Southeast Asian women and class privilege.
On Reddit, user 'ixiolite' noted how troubling the remarks were given the economic context, writing, 'Her calling Indonesian (sex workers) trafficked women as prostitutes also irked me so badly... oh this is even worse after discovering these two live in Bali, flaunting their influencer wealth on local peoples and raising their rent costs.'
Other commentators emphasized that Armstrong remains at fault, with user 'Nairo_bees' posting that the situation served as 'A good reminder for the audience that HE is at fault, not the sex workers /or trafficking victims.'
A user also criticized her social media conduct regarding family privacy, with user 'annabelleoftheball' commenting, 'I was with her until she used the kid's face in this post.'
Official Statements and Apologies
Following the intense public scrutiny and the unauthorized takeover of his profile, both Scarlett and Armstrong released formal statements to address the controversy and clarify the timeline of their relationship.

In a public statement shared on her social media, Scarlett issued an apology for her posts, attributing her emotional outburst to severe mental health struggles, including postpartum depression, PMDD, and PTSD.
She retracted her claims of infidelity during their marriage, stating. 'The post came from a deep place of hurt and a feeling of betrayal. However, the actions I was referring to were unfair and did not occur during the time of our relationship, and the act of sleeping with a prostitute did not occur during our relationship... It was immature, and I take full responsibility for my actions.'
Armstrong also released a formal statement confirming that the couple had already separated before the public feud.
Clarifying his position, Armstrong wrote, 'Bailey and I had separated before these events unfolded, and I want to make one thing very clear: I did not cheat on Bailey while we were in a relationship. That is the truth, and God knows the truth.'
Armstrong added that he forgives Scarlett, citing her ongoing personal struggles, while emphasizing his intention to focus on his family, faith, and his fitness business.
Continued Public Skepticism
Despite the formal apologies and clarifications from both parties, online skepticism continued on social media. Many questioned whether the sudden walkbacks were an effort at damage control to protect their shared brand and commercial interests.
On X, users expressed cynicism over the sudden shift in tone and the framing of the apologies.
User @petitlarcenous suggested the follow-up posts were an effort to salvage her husband's career, writing, 'She just realized that his career is feeding the family... Don't believe the follow-up posts. She's doing cleanup.'
While user @elcrabbito criticized using mental health as a justification for the outburst, stating, 'Using poor mental health as an excuse has become an epidemic... This... is just a woman scorned.'
