After three years of hosting the Xtra Factor, Caroline Flack is quitting the show.

The 34-year-old presenter took to social media to announce she would no longer be working on the X Factor spin off, but would always be a loyal fan.

"Heyyyyyy! After three brilliant years of hosting Xtra Factor its time to pass the baton. It's been incredible and I'll never forget it (sic)," she said in a tweet to fans.

"How can I when I am married to Louis Walsh? It's all he ever talks about at home."

She added: "I wish the new team all the best and look forward to watching the new series."

During her tenure, Flack courted controversy when she started dating One Direction star Harry Styles, who is 15 years her junior. The three-month long romance soon fizzled out after they realised they wanted different things.

X Factor boss Simon Cowell wished Flack, who is one of the longest serving Xtra Factor hosts ever, good luck with her future endevours.

The media mogul said: "It's been an incredible three years for Caroline and The Xtra Factor. We will definitely be working together on other projects."

Meanwhile it has been confirmed that Radio 1Xtra DJ Sarah-Jane Crawford will be replacing Flack on the Xtra Factor.

'"Morning! Really thrilled to say that I'll be the new host of #XtraFactor this year!!!! Thanks to the X team for seeing something in me! (sic)," the 29-year-old tweeted.
