Woman clings to husband's underwear in life and death drama

A man who jumped from a sixth-floor window was saved from plummeting to his death by his wife's firm grip on his underwear.

Wang Li, 45, was allegedly attempting suicide when he jumped from the window in Changchun, China.

However wife Ling Su grabbed a portion of his elasticated boxer shorts and held on tightly as her husband dangled upside down, 20 metres above ground.

Incredibly, Wang did not fall to earth, nor did his boxer shorts rip while Ling waited 20 minutes for emergency services to arrive.

They were drawn to the scene by her frantic screams.

Wang was later admitted to hospital after the drama.
