This erratic behaviour, which points to a potential mental health crisis, escalated quickly when he thrust his face directly into the hot deep fryer.

The kitchen descended into chaos the moment it happened. Witnesses called 999 immediately, but dispatchers initially had difficulty understanding the frantic reports coming from the scene. The injuries were so severe that even the first responders were reportedly shaken by what they found.

Staff and Customers Intervene

The shock of the moment didn't stop the victim's colleagues from reacting. Several co-workers rushed in to physically drag him out of the oil, ignoring the immediate danger to themselves. The rescue attempt was so chaotic that a female employee suffered minor burns during the struggle.
