A driver survived a horrific crash on a Boston highway over the weekend.

Early Sunday morning (22 February) the driver of a pickup truck slammed through a light pole, an exit sign and part of a chain link fence, then sped over a highway overpass. The truck plummeted to the street below. No one was hurt.

Traffic cameras from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation captured various angles of the crash.

Emergency workers removed the driver from the vehicle and took him to a hospital.

Later, police charged the driver, 33-year old Vannak Sao, with driving under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. His driver's license was also suspended.
