Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge
Samsung releases new update for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge to improve fingerprint recognition Reuters

Looks like Samsung is working hard to make its new Galaxy S flagship function smoothly by releasing frequent software updates.

In less than a week after deploying an update that squashes the memory leak issue, the maker has seeded another firmware for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge across several regions in Europe and Asia.

This time it has a more vivid changelog for the OTA update, which weighs in at 159.29MB for S6 users residing in Malaysia. According to the release note, the update improves the Fingerprint recognition process, adds new features to Photo editor, improves compatibility with accessories and enhances interface of Email, Music, S Planner and other Samsung apps.

If your device is unresponsive, just press and hold the Power and Volume keys simultaneously for more than seven seconds to restart it and everything works fine.

While the previous update was for Vodafone subscribers in the UK, the recent one is rolling out as a general update in the country. Go to Settings>> About device>> Software update to check the availability of the new firmware which comes with build version XXU1AOE3 (the previous one was XXU1AODG).

You can also manually install the firmware on your S6/S6 Edge devices using the step-by-step guide below. Note that the firmware builds are unbranded, which can be installed on any unlocked SM-G920F or SM-G925F models.
