Gerard Butler Angel Has Fallen
After the massive success of Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen Gerard Butler returning for a threequel Angel Has Fallen Millennium Films

Be prepared for another nail-biting action thriller from Gerard Butler, who is all set to return as Secret Service agent Mike Banning. The Scottish actor is teaming up with Millennium Films for the third time after the blockbuster success of Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen.

His latest movie is titled Angel Has Fallen and going by the movie's title, it appears Banner will swing into action, but this time on the air, to save his friend Benjamin Asher, probably from another set of rogue terrorists. Angel is the name of the US President's official plane Air Force One. Hence it is safe to assume that Butler's character will foil another dreaded terror plot to save his friend Asher.

Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt have been roped in to write the script of the action thriller. The producers are yet to finalise a director, Deadline reported. The filming is scheduled to start in mid-2017.

In the previous two movies, the terrorists took down the White House and London in order to kill the US President but both the times Mike, a super-skilled special agent, singlehandedly destroyed their evil plot. Butler's killer performance as Banning has brought the character alive on screen and his diehard fans can't wait for another installment in the Fallen series.

Produced by Butler, Alan Siegel, Mark Gill, John Thompson and Matt O'Toole, the anticipation from the upcoming movie is high, considering the success of the previous two movies, which raked in $161m (£131m) and $205m (£167m) worldwide.

The cast members for Angel Has fallen is yet to be declared but it is assumed that Aaron Eckhart may return to reprise his role as U.S. President Benjamin Asher.
