Glambot Guy No-Show At Grammys After Golden Globes Backlash And Viral Email Scandal
Many Speculated that Glambot Guy's No-Show at the Grammys was Due to the Backlash He Faced Last Month

Cole Walliser, famously known as the Glambot director but now branded as 'lambot Guy,' has long been a red-carpet staple at major events like the Grammys. However, fans noticed his glaring absence from this year's awards night. The 'no-show' follows a rough month of backlash that started at the Golden Globes.
Walliser's January began with a viral Golden Globes interaction with Jennifer Lopez, which fans labeled the singer 'cold' and 'rude'. This issue has spiraled into a full-blown reputation crisis quicker than anyone anticipated.
As the drama took a darker turn when his defense of the singer prompted the resurfacing of shocking 2019 emails, showing a 'condescending' side of Walliser towards a potential client named Yinka Animashaun, which has left the internet reeling.
'Glambot Guy' Cole Walliser No-Show at the Grammys
The drama deepened as Grammy viewers realized a red-carpet staple was missing: Glambot director Cole Walliser was nowhere to be found.
While fans eagerly anticipated his signature celebrity interactions, the camera was instead helmed by a female director who took over his usual duties of posing the stars, looking into the monitor, and calling 'action.'
The absence didn't go unnoticed for long. TikTok creator Kristi Cook or widely known on social media as Spill Sesh, was among the first to point out the switch.

PEDESTRIAN.TV also reported that Walliser—who usually floods his social media with behind-the-scenes content—has remained silent on his personal accounts.
With no presence on Getty Images or the official red carpet stream, it's clear Walliser skipped the event entirely.
Many are now speculating that this 'no-show' is a direct result of the intense backlash he was involved in following his last event, the Golden Globes.
'Glambot Guy' Cole Walliser Issues: From J.Lo Drama to Leaked Emails and Wedding Photos
The filmmaker, famed for capturing slow-motion red carpet glamour, found himself at the center of a social media firestorm last month.
The trouble began during the Golden Globes when Walliser filmed JLo for the Glambot. Many viewers took issue with the singer-actress's interaction with him, leading to a wave of online attacks where Lopez was labeled 'cold' and 'rude.'
Within 24 hours, Walliser stepped in to defend her, clarifying that he didn't take her behavior personally and was simply grateful she took the time to do the shot.
However, the tables quickly turned. What began as a defense of a celebrity spiraled into a full-blown reputation crisis for Walliser himself when a shocking email from 2019 resurfaced.
The email exchange caused a massive outcry, as it appeared to show Walliser responding to a potential client, Yinka Animashaun, in a condescending and unprofessional manner.

In the emails, Walliser seemingly questioned whether Animashaun could afford his services—which include a 15-person crew and network-grade equipment—before even providing a quote.
One line in particular drew intense criticism: 'If you wanted to know how much it costs, you just needed to ask; you don't need to pretend you are going to book it.'
The backlash only intensified when photos of Animashaun's lavish, multicultural wedding began circulating online. The images proved the bride was more than capable of booking the $300,000 service, making Walliser's original dismissive tone look even more like a case of gatekeeping and bias.
'Glambot Guy' Cole Walliser Apology
Last week, 28 January, Walliser broke his silence—he addressed the 2019 email exchange and apologised for his behaviour.
The director admitted that the tone of the email was 'dismissive and curt, and that is not okay,' he said.
He also explained that at the time, he was running the operation alone, but said it was noit an excuse and he understood why emails cause outrage. He said, 'I do understand that reading these emails, people could be upset and assume bias, especially given the frequency at which people of colour experience being dismissed.'

Reflecting on the past seven years since the email was sent, Walliser said he believes he has grown:
'I like to think that I have grown a lot in the past seven years, and I always want to treat everybody with the respect that they deserve. But clearly, more could be done, and I can do better.'
Walliser has not yet shared any information as to why he was not present at the Grammys this year.
