Paramore singer Hayley Williams has reportedly responded to the Department of Homeland Security with a crude Instagram Story, following the Department of Homeland Security's criticism of her anti-ICE remarks during a concert in Chula Vista, California, on 3 October 2026.

Williams made the comments while performing 'Ice in My OJ' at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre. She shouted 'Fuck ICE' and 'Free Palestine' during the performance, according to reports and published footage from the show.

The Chula Vista concert was part of The Hayley Williams Show, her 2026 solo tour. The tour began in September and features material from her solo career, including her 2025 album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party. Her performances have also featured political remarks about immigration enforcement and Christian nationalism.

DHS Responds to Williams' Anti-ICE Remarks

After the Chula Vista performance, Fox News Digital sought comment from the Department of Homeland Security. A DHS spokesperson responded by defending federal law enforcement officers and criticising Williams' remarks.

'America is grateful all the time for our federal law enforcement officers who keep us safe,' the spokesperson said. 'We suggest Ms. Williams to thank them for their service, not belittle their sacrifice.' Stereogum and other outlets reported the statement.

The statement came after Williams used the phrase 'Fuck ICE' during 'Ice in My OJ.' She also shouted 'Free motherfucking Palestine' during the same performance, according to reports of the Chula Vista show.

Williams has used similar anti-ICE and pro-Palestinian remarks during other performances. A published setlist from her 17 September show at Forest Hills Stadium records 'Fuck ICE' and 'Free Palestine' during 'Ice in My OJ.'

The singer has also commented on Christian nationalism during the current tour. Before performing 'True Believer,' a published setlist from the 17 September concert records her saying that 'the greatest threat to American democracy is Christian nationalism'.

Stereogum reported on 5 October that Williams posted a screenshot of the DHS statement to her Instagram Stories. According to the report, she added: 'And may I suggest all Nazi bitches suck on my fat dick.'

Rolling Stone separately reported the same Instagram response and said Williams had posted the message alongside a screenshot of the DHS statement.

Because Instagram Stories are temporary, the wording should remain attributed to reports of Williams' post rather than presented as an independently archived statement by IBTimes UK. The reported wording is also highly profane, so precise attribution matters.

The exchange has drawn attention because it pits a federal agency against a high-profile musician in a public dispute over immigration enforcement. Williams' remarks also fit into a wider pattern of political commentary during her current performances.

Hayley Williams Continues Her 2026-27 Tour

The Hayley Williams Show continues with US dates through 12 October. Current listings show performances in The Woodlands, Texas, on 9 October, New Orleans on 10 October and Southaven, Mississippi, on 12 October.

Williams then has international dates scheduled, including performances in Mexico and further shows in South America, Australia and Europe. Current listings also include dates in 2027.

Her schedule includes an Australian headline show in Sydney at the Enmore Theatre on 10 February 2027.

Williams is also booked for several European dates in June 2027. Current listings include performances in Amsterdam, Glasgow and Cardiff, among other European dates.

Williams is additionally scheduled to appear at Slane Castle in County Meath, Ireland, on 26 and 27 June 2027. Fontaines D.C. are headlining the shows, with Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach listed as supporting acts.

Williams was also announced for Primavera Sound Barcelona 2027. The festival's official website lists the event from 2 to 6 June 2027 at Parc del Fòrum, with the main festival days scheduled for 3 to 5 June. Williams is among the announced artists.

The Primavera lineup includes major acts such as Phoebe Bridgers, Massive Attack, The Chemical Brothers, FKA twigs, Robyn, Turnstile, Doechii and Fontaines D.C. Williams is among the artists announced for the festival's 25th edition.

For now, the documented exchange remains straightforward. Williams made anti-ICE remarks during a concert, DHS criticised those remarks, and she subsequently posted a profanity-laden response, according to reports.
