How to root Yu Yuphoria
How to root Yu Yuphoria without unlocking bootloader or voiding warranty and OTA capability YU

Yu Yuphoria users are in for a special treat as it is now possible to root the phone without unlocking its bootloader or voiding its warranty, with due credit to XDA junior member, Someshthakur.

Furthermore, the rooting process is fully automated thanks to the root tool kit that eliminates the need to input commands to reboot the phone or flash any files in fastboot mode.

In other words, the automated tool ensures the OTA capability on your phone is left intact. However, you will lose root access once you install any OTA updates on your phone.

IBTimes UK reminds readers that it will not be held liable for any damage to device during or after the root installation. Users are advised to proceed at their own risk.

Step 1: Connect your phone to the computer and wait for the pop-up message that prompts you to confirm if you want to allow USB Debugging. Click OK to confirm.

Step 2: Download the root tool kit from the link above and extract the files to the computer via 7-zip or similar extraction software.

Step 3: The extracted folder should contain two sub-folders: META-INF folder and Root without UBL. Ignore the first sub-folder and open the second that says "Root".
