Hunter Doohan Goes 'Almost Naked' In Wednesday Season 2: Is He Still Married?
The Your Honor star is happily married to film producer Fielder Jewett

Actor Hunter Doohan is celebrating the arrival of Wednesday Season 2 on Netflix, returning as Tyler Galpin in the gothic comedy-drama led by Jenna Ortega. The supernatural hit first premiered in 2022, but filming for the follow-up was delayed by the Hollywood actors' and writers' strikes before production resumed in Ireland last summer.
Doohan, 31, marked the release with an Instagram carousel of behind-the-scenes photos and videos, including downtime with castmates, a boat trip, and a pint of Guinness with his face in the foam. He also shared a playful dance with Ortega to Charli XCX's 'Apple' — and one cheeky moment that had fans calling him 'almost naked' on set. The photo, which has now gone viral, shows the actor's buff physique, shirtless.
'Season 2 part 1 is out now!! I loved every second of it,' he wrote, thanking the show's creators, producers and the 'incredible Irish crew.' Doohan also revealed he brought his cat, Bitty, along for the 'brat summer' filming period.
From Arkansas to the Addams Family
Born on 18 January 1994 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Doohan is the son of the late Australian tennis player Peter Doohan. His breakthrough came in 2020 when he portrayed the younger version of Aaron Paul's character in Apple TV+'s Truth Be Told. He later starred alongside Bryan Cranston in Your Honor before securing his role in Wednesday.
A Love Story Spanning a Decade
Away from the screen, Doohan's personal life has been equally eventful. The Your Honor star is happily married to film producer Fielder Jewett, whom he met on Tinder nearly a decade ago. 'We've been together for a while,' he said in a rare interview on the Zach Sang Show. 'I've basically been with him almost my whole adult life, really. We've gone through so much together — he's been there for me at my lowest points, too.'
The couple announced their engagement on New Year's Eve in 2020, with Doohan joking that an at-home proposal was "peak 2020". They wed in June 2022, with Bryan Cranston officiating. While shooting Wednesday Season 2 in Ireland, Jewett — fresh from graduating law school — joined Doohan for several months, studying for the bar exam while staying on location.
Doohan has been openly gay since he was 18, but admitted he once tried to hide his relationship during the casting process for Your Honor, only to have to "come out again" on set. 'That was so unsettling and awful," he said. "I'm never going to do that for a role again.'
'More Deranged' in Season 2
Speaking to IndieWire, Doohan said returning to Tyler after nearly three years felt thrilling. 'In Season 1, I spent most of it playing a character who's pretending to be someone else,' he explained. 'I only got to reveal it all in that last episode. Now, he's even more deranged after being locked in a mental asylum, literally chained up for months since we last saw him.'
He was also disappointed not to share a scene with Lady Gaga, who plays teacher Rosaline Rotwood. 'I'm still holding out for that day,' he said, calling her involvement 'mind-blowing' as a long-time fan.
New Roles and Future Goals
Beyond Wednesday, Doohan will appear in Marvel's Daredevil: Born Again and the upcoming horror Evil Dead Burn, currently filming in New Zealand. He described his audition for the latter as "one of the craziest" he's ever done, praising director Sébastien Vanicek's vision and love of the genre.
Doohan also hopes to take on a significant queer role in the future, saying: 'I'd love to play a great character who happens to be queer.' He cites Jonathan Bailey as a major inspiration, noting his success leading major films and franchises.
With Wednesday Season 2 now streaming and a packed slate ahead, Doohan's career is firmly in the spotlight — though at home, it's clear his heart belongs to the man he's loved for almost a decade.
