Installing Over a Samsung Stock ROM or Another Custom ROM
1. Copy the ThunderBolt ROM to the root folder on your Galaxy S2′s internal SD card.
2. Power off your Galaxy S2 and boot it into ClockworkMod Recovery by pressing and holding Volume Up, Home, and Power buttons together until the device enters Recovery mode.
3. Take a NANDroid Backup of your existing ROM by choosing Backup and Restore and then hit Backup.
4. Tap Wipe Data/Factory Reset and click Yes to confirm.
5. Choose Mounts and Storage and click Format /System. Then select Yes to confirm.
6. Click Install ZIP from SD Card and hit Choose ZIP from SD Card. Now, navigate and select the ThunderBolt ROM ZIP file to install and click Yes to confirm.
7. Tap Wipe Cache Partition and click Yes to confirm.
8. Choose Advanced, click Wipe Dalvik Cache and hit Yes to confirm.
9. Finally, click Go Back and tap Reboot System Now.
Upgrading from an older version of the ThunderBolt ROM
1. Copy the downloaded ThunderBolt ROM to the root folder on your Galaxy S2′s internal SD card.
2. Power off your Galaxy S2 and boot into CWM Recovery by pressing and holding Volume Up, Home, and Power buttons together until Recovery mode boots up.
3. Perform a NANDroid Backup of your current ROM by choosing Backup and Restore and click Backup.
4. Choose Install ZIP from SD Card. Click Choose ZIP from SD Card and select the ThunderBolt ROM ZIP file. Finally, click Yes to confirm.
5. Hit Advanced > Fix Permissions and click Yes to confirm.
6. Click Go Back and tap Reboot System Now.
Upgrading from this ROM's ICS Version
1. Copy the ThunderBolt ROM to the root folder on your Galaxy S2′s internal SD card.
2. Power off your phone and Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery by pressing and holding Volume Up, Home, and Power buttons together until the device boots into Recovery.
3. Take a NANDroid Backup of your existing ROM by choosing Backup and Restore and then click Backup.
4. Hit Wipe Cache Partition and click Yes to confirm.
5. Tap Advanced, hit Wipe Dalvik Cache and click Yes to confirm.
6. Choose Install ZIP from SD Card, click Choose ZIP from SD Card, and select the ThunderBolt ROM ZIP file. Finally, click Yes to confirm.
7. Click Go Back and tap Reboot System Now.
