Inter Milan are set to make a double bid to sign Manchester United's out-of-contract duo Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic in the summer.

Vidic has already announced his decision to leave Old Tafford at the end of the current campaign in search of a new challenge, while Evra appears unlikely to extend his contract at the Premier Legue champions.

According to Italian newspaper Tutto Sport, Inter Milan are set to take advantage of the pair's contract situations to bolster their defence for free at the end of the season.

Tutto Sport reveals that Inter's new technical director, Piero Ausilio, was at the Emirates stadium last Wednesday watching both players during United's draw against Arsenal, and he may have approached them at the game.

Ausilio recently revealed Inter's interest on bringing Nemanja Vidic to San Siro while, according to TuttoSport, the centre-back is also willing to move to the Seria A giants.

"Vidic is an important player whose contract expires in June. Like other European clubs, we will try to get something from this great opportunity. He is one of the players we are tracking. He has an interesting profile for Inter as he has charisma and international experience."

Meanwhile, Inter midfielder and Vidic's compatriot Zdravko Kuzmanovic has said that he would be very happy if the centre-back finaly decides to join them next summer.

"If he comes to Inter I will be very happy, he is a great player, a great centre-back but everyone knows it."

David Moyes is already looking for defenders to replace both Vidic and Evra and in recent months United have been linked with a list of centre-backs including Eliaquim Mangala or Ezequiel Garay, and a string of left-backs including Fabio Coentrao, Luke Shaw and Filipe Luis.
