AMC's new action drama Into The Badlands returns this week with its second episode titled Fist Like a Bullet -- and judging by the upcoming episode's synopsis and promo, viewers can expect some early twists with regards to boy wonder M.K.'s fate.

Set in a post apocalyptic future, Into The Badlands shows that a feudal society has emerged in the wake of civilization's destruction. This area is now called the Badlands and is uneasily divided among seven rival Barons. Each Baron enforces their iron rule with the aid of loyal armies of trained assassins known as Clippers.

The most lethal of the Badlands' Clippers is Sunny (Daniel Wu) -- the Regent (Head Clipper) and most trusted advisor of Baron Quinn (Marton Csokas). For decades, Quinn has been unchallenged as the Badlands' most powerful Baron; however, the territory's newest Baron, The Widow (Emily Beecham), has begun testing his appetite for a fight.

The official description for episode 2 states that, "M.K. finds refuge in an unlikely and dangerous place, while Sunny's loyalty is tested when Quinn tries to force him to commit an unspeakable act."

A preview report by MNR Daily reveals that, M.K. who's now on the run, is able to hide from Quinn and his deadly clippers when he encounters a young girl in the woods. However, their meeting starts off on the wrong foot -- The girl takes M.K. by surprise with a butterfly-shaped weapon. After he explains himself to her, she lets her guard down and takes the young boy to her mother. But the girl's butterfly-shaped weapon suggests that M.K. is far from being safe in his new environment.

The butterfly symbol is the Black Widow's insignia and as shown in the pilot episode, the baroness is also looking for the gifted young boy. So he'll probably find himself in more trouble in his new company.
