Jay Z feels that Nick Jonas has the potential to make it big in the music industry. The 45-year-old rapper feels the former Jonas Brothers singer can follow in the footsteps of Justin Timberlake.

The 99 Problems hitmaker was impressed by the 22-year-old singer's performance at the 2015 Budweiser Made in America Festival held at Benjamin Franklin Parkway on 5 September in Philadelphia. Jay Z, who has worked with Timberlake on several collaborations, including the hits Suit & Tie and Holy Grail, is interested in a collaboration with Nick.

"Jay Z is always a forward thinking businessman and always wants to be on the cutting edge of music, business and anything else that will make him the entrepreneur that he is — and his next project is Nick Jonas," a source told Hollywood Life. "He wants to record with him and he wants Beyonce to record with him. He sees Nick as the next Justin Timberlake."

The Cry Me A River singer and Nick have both jumped from boy band fame to solo stardom. During an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the Jealous hitmaker said he is happy that he has been compared to Timberlake.

"It's an honour. That's somebody that I definitely looked at and said, 'If I could have a trajectory like that, that'd be incredible.' I kind of put my own twist on it, but yeah, it's been a really special year," he said.
