Jesse Eisenberg, who played the villainous Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice has teased that he could be back in the upcoming DC film Justice League Part 1. This solves a greater DC puzzle and explains a clip featuring the deleted scenes from the Batman v Superman movie where Luthor confronts an otherworldly creature, Steppenwolf.
Speaking during the MCM London Comic Con (via Screen Crush), the 32-year-old actor revealed, "I'm kind of in wait. They just started filming Justice League, so I'm kind of like waiting for my crack at it."
Eisenberg, who played Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network added, "I don't know what I'm allowed to say, because I feel like there's probably some drone following me from DC, and if I say anything wrong I get, you know, picked off. But yeah I think so, and I love it, and I love everybody who's in it. You know, it's a really talented group of people."
Billionaire Luthor had an evil plan for Superman in the Zack Snyder-helmed Batman v Superman movie, and Eisenberg, who will be reprising this role in the upcoming project revealed how he took to the character. "I wanted to make these people real and relatable, interesting and engaging, and not just, you know, a kind of surface 'bad person'," he said.
"To me, the most interesting acting is when actors can bring you in to another side of the person. When you feel like you are not seeing the purpose of them for the plot. That they're not just delivering a message, that they're actually showing you some kind of humanity," he added revealing his approach to playing Luthor on-screen.
After Batman v Superman failed to meet the commercial success and the critical acclaim Warner Bros had hoped for, the production house has been tinkering with their upcoming projects under the DC Extended Universe. With Ben Affleck already on-board as executive producer and reprising his role of Batman in the Justice League film, hopefully, this DC movie will not disappoint fans.
Justice League Part 1 hits theatres on 17 November 2017.
