Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge have released two photographs of their family and a peek at Prince George of Cambridge, the royal couple's first child together. George is third in line to the throne, behind Prince Charles and his father, William.

Kate and William are seen relaxing in the gardens of the Middleton's estate, with George asleep in his mother's arms. The photograph was taken by Kate's father, Michael Middleton.

William wears a blue, open-necked shirt and is in jeans. He has his arm around Kate, who wears a fuchsia knot maternity dress by Seraphine. Prince George is asleep in a crocheted white blanket.

In the second photo, the couple is seen sitting on a sheet on the beautiful grass lawn, with their black cocker spaniel Lupo by their side and the Middleton's golden retriever, Tilly, lying next to Kate.

"William and Catherine wanted to release photos that are more natural and personable, something more intimate. They're happy with the outcome. The photographs give a great sense of family spirit," a Palace aide stated.

The Seraphine dress worn by Kate retails for $79 and reportedly sold out after the photographs were released. The website has since informed customers: "Due to high popularity of this style, please be advised that orders will be dispatched week commencing 16th of September."

"We heard rumours online that an official royal family photo was going to be released imminently, so we were on the look out to see what her next outfit would be and hoped it would be Seraphine. We saw the picture go live online overnight and are absolutely honoured and so happy to see her in another one of our dresses," Cecile Reinaud, the founder of Séraphine, stated.
