Ken Urker, the fiancé of Gypsy-Rose Blanchard and father of her daughter, has died at the age of 34, prompting a wave of online speculation about the circumstances surrounding his sudden death.

Urker was found unresponsive at a home in Raceland, Louisiana, on 1 October, which was also his 34th birthday. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed that officers responded to a residence after receiving a call at 6:15 p.m. and found Urker dead upon arrival. Authorities said the death investigation remains ongoing.

The circumstances have since led some people online to question whether Blanchard should face additional scrutiny. However, there is currently no evidence publicly establishing that she was involved in Urker's death, and the investigation has not announced a suspect or criminal finding against her.

Ken Urker Was Found Dead on His Birthday

According to reports, Blanchard sent Urker a birthday message but did not receive a response. A family member later discovered him unresponsive at the Louisiana property.

Urker's sister, Autumn, subsequently confirmed his death during a TikTok livestream. The sheriff's office has not released an official cause of death, meaning speculation about what happened remains unconfirmed.

Early reports also differed over his age, with some initially reporting that he was 33. The sheriff's office and later reporting identify him as 34, as he died on the day of his 34th birthday.

Gypsy Rose Says Ken May Have Overdosed

Blanchard has since spoken publicly about Urker's death, telling PEOPLE that she believes he died from an apparent overdose.

She said she did not know what substance he may have taken or whether the overdose was intentional. Blanchard also said Urker had recently been in a poor mental state.

Those comments are significant but are not an official determination of the cause or manner of death. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office continues to investigate, and no official cause of death has been released.

Why Are Some Online Users Speculating About Gypsy Rose?

The renewed scrutiny largely stems from Blanchard's highly publicised history.

She served prison time for her role in the 2015 killing of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Blanchard pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was released on parole in December 2023. Her former boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, was convicted separately of first-degree murder and remains imprisoned.

Because of that history, Urker's sudden death has prompted some social-media users to revisit Blanchard's past and question whether authorities should examine her connection to the circumstances surrounding Urker's death.

However, suspicion on social media is not evidence of wrongdoing. There is currently no public law-enforcement statement accusing Blanchard of causing Urker's death.

Ken and Gypsy Had a Complicated History

Urker and Blanchard first connected while she was incarcerated after he wrote her a letter of support. They became romantically involved and became engaged in 2018, but later separated.

After Blanchard's release from prison and her subsequent split from Ryan Anderson, she and Urker reunited in April 2024. They went on to have a daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, who was born in December 2024.

Their relationship was also documented publicly through reality television and social media, making Urker a familiar figure to people who followed Blanchard's life after prison.

Blanchard Says Ken Faced Relentless Online Harassment

Following Urker's death, Blanchard described him as an 'amazing father' and said he had been subjected to an 'unimaginable level of public scrutiny' and 'relentless cyberbullying'.

She claimed that the online cruelty directed towards him had a profound impact on him and asked for privacy while she and their daughter mourn his death.

Whether online harassment played any role in Urker's death has not been established by authorities.

For now, the central fact remains that Ken Urker died suddenly at 34, and officials are still investigating what happened. Until investigators release further findings, claims that Blanchard should be treated as a suspect remain speculation rather than an established conclusion.
