It is being billed as the celebrity wedding of the century, with the world counting down to the moment when the queen of reality TV says 'I do' to hip hop's self-proclaimed king.
When Kim Kardashian and Kanye West tie the knot at the 16th century Belvedere Fort in Florence this weekend it is likely to be a star-studded, extravagant affair that will be talked about long after the confetti has been thrown.
While rapper West is a novice to the world of matrimony the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is a serial bride -- she was previously married to music producer Damon Thomas and NBA star Kris Humphries.
So what better way to guarantee that her marriage lasts longer than 72 days this time round than cutting people from the guest list? The 33-year-old beauty reportedly wants her wedding to be intimate and only a select few will be able to witness her big day.
Among the stars snubbed for the big day is embattled actress Lindsay Lohan, who was at Kardashian's bridal shower earlier this month.
There's a good chance that turning up to Kardashian's 2011 wedding to Kris Humphries, wearing a plunging white gown, may have ruined her chances of eating wedding cake with Mr and Mrs West in Europe.
American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, who produces Kardashian's E! reality show will also be notably absent from her nuptials, having also joined the scores of attendees at the mother-of one's wedding to Humphries.
In spite of the snub the 39-year-old star still believes that the wedding would still be one of the "most amazing ceremonies ever".
"I think that we'll all sort of smile and love the fact that you can see how much he adores her and she adores him," he told Access Hollywood at the FOX Upfronts in NYC.
Extra host Mario Lopez and wife, Demi Lovato and Eva Longaria also did not make the final cut this time.
Kardashian and West may be selective with their invites but one couple that everyone is hoping will attend are Jay Z and Beyoncé.
Reports had suggested that Queen B did not want to be associated with 'trashy' Kardashian, but it has since been claimed that the music super couple had a change of heart when they found out the wedding was not being filmed for Kardashian's reality show.
It was also reported that Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour had declined an invite to the wedding weeks after putting the A-list pair on the cover of the fashion bible.
