Kristen Bell has some advice for fans of Anna Faris and Chris Pratt who have been left devastated by the former couple's split. The pair recently announced their separation after eight years of marriage.

The Boss star told E! News that the split should not be a heartbreak for fans as the couple tried their best to be together and their love for each other over the years should not be overlooked.

"I think there's a little bit of lack of acknowledgement about really loving something that was. If there are two people that decide not to be together, it shouldn't really be a heartbreak for everyone," she said.

"You should say, 'Oh, they tried. But that doesn't discount the lovely years they had together.' If I ever get divorced, I'm still going to be like, 'Wow, I loved being married to that man'."

Dax Shepard's wife also talked about how she would handle the situation.

"We may have to make different choices; those choices might make us sad for a while, but ultimately you have to make hard choices in life. I don't fault anyone for making them," she said.

She also has said that she doesn't necessarily know if "Hollywood" is to be blamed for the split of the former couple.

"The reality is when you're working in this industry you're sometimes shooting a movie in China for four months. You're away from your family for four months. I think it's more the separation than anything that can weigh on people."

Bell also admitted that her marriage to Dax Shepard was not always easy. She said that she and her husband have been attending couple's therapy as it takes hard work to keep a marriage alive.

She explained, "We go to couple's therapy. We make sure that we're talking with respect to each other. When we sit down to have a disagreement it's a disagreement, not an argument."
