Life-Size 2: Tyra Banks to reprise role as Eve but what about Lindsay Lohan?
Sequel of TV movie set for release in December 2018.
Tyra Banks is preparing to reprise her role as the doll who came to life in the sequel to Disney TV movie, Life-Size. The former and America's Next Top Model host confirmed that the film had been given the green light at the Freeform 2017 Upfront at Hudson Mercantile.
Directed by Mark Rosman, the 2000 movie told the story of grieving teenager Casey Stuart, played by Lindsay Lohan, who brings her doll Eve to live after buying a book of magic spells in the hopes of resurrecting her dead mother.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Banks revealed that the project had been five years in the making. "Five years, four scripts, and finally we realised, Eve needs to grow up. "She's been around for a while. She's been alive for a while. She needs to grow up and experience more adult things. So, you're going to see a very different Eve on Freeform."
Although there is no word yet on whether Lohan will revisit her character, Banks definitely doesn't rule out the idea of a cameo from the flamed-haired former child star.
"I love Lindsay," Banks says. "I have not [reached out to offer a cameo], but I think it would be interesting. I have to talk to my producing partners. I think it would be interesting, right? That was my girl back in the day!"
If things don't work it, she has somebody else in mind for the film – Zendaya Coleman. "I think Zendaya would be really interesting," she said.
Banks first revealed plans for a sequel in 2015, telling Variety: There is no one else that can play Eve but me, thank you very much! I'm just joking with you, but yes, I am going to be Eve."
Life-Size 2 which is being produced by Freeform, sister network of the Disney Channel, is slated for a December 2018 release.
