Manchester City travel to Germany to take on Bayern Munich in the final round of games in the Champions League.

Where to Watch Live

Kick-off is set for 7:45pm GMT. Live coverage will be available on Sky Sports 2 and Sky Sports 2 HD.

Overview

Bayern Munich are on a swansong ahead of their high profile encounter against City at the Allianz Arena. The Champions of Europe come into the game on the back of a 7-0 thrashing of Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga, an ominous sign for any club this season in the Champions League. The German Champions have already beaten City in the reverse fixture at the Etihad, where they dominated possession and beat them 3-1 in a convincing display of attacking football.

City will be buoyed by the fact that the last opposition to beat them at home is from England when Arsenal beat them 2-0 in the second leg of the round of 16 last season. The Gunners crashed out on away goals but it helped them restore their season back to balance and the same can happen with City, who have struggled to score away from home this season. Manuel Pellegrini's side have lost four on the road this season in the league and are six points off the top in the Premier League, a run of results which may cost them in the title run.

Both teams have qualified for the knockout stages and Pellegrini has revaled that he will rest a few of his main players to keep them fit for their top of the table clash against Arsenal in the weekend. However, Bayern, who are sending out a message to the world are likely to move in with a full strength team and try to inflict as much pain as they can on their Premier League rivals after the Arsenal humiliation.

What the Managers Say

Pep Guardiola: "If we don't play well, City could get one, two, three goals. If you look at last season's tie against Arsenal, Bayern won there 3-1 and then at home they lost 2-0. What is important is what happens now. We have a game ahead of us that will start at 0-0."

Manuel Pellegrini: "Joe Hart will play against Bayern Munich, sure. Of course, if you ask me at this moment, the game against Arsenal next weekend is more important than the game against Bayern Munich."
