Star players from Manchester United launched the club's new Adidas away kit for the 2015/2016 season on 11 August in London.

Juan Mata, Ashley Young, Daley Blind and Ander Herrera paraded the strip, which features a white shirt with red trim, black shorts and white socks, at an event in Brixton attended by supporters.

After posing for photographs the group took part in a quick game of football tennis to entertain the crowds. Spanish international Juan Mata said he hoped his side would be challenging for trophies whilst wearing the new kit.

"We as a group hope to be fighting for trophies. First of all we need to play the Champions League, which we know we have to win, then fighting for the trophies that we play in and personally playing as much as I can, because I always try to help the team with my football and grow as a player. I'm very happy in the dressing room with the guys and with everyone so I think it'll be a good season for us," said Mata.

Supporters gathered to watch the unveiling said they were thrilled to see the players in the flesh.

"You don't get this kind of thing happening every day, you know what I mean? To see four of the regular starters as well. Young, Herrera, Mata and Blind, you know all very decent players. Good to see Young get another three year contract. Looking forward to the new season definitely," said an unidentified fan.

"You know what, I was very excited to see the likes of Mata, Herrera and Ashley Young. Obviously I play football as well and I am a right winger so seeing Ashley Young you know to see how big he is compared to me, it's a good match up like, he is kind of big as well," added another supporter.

Manchester United announced on their official twitter account that the team will wear the away kit for the first time on 14 August in their Premier League match at Aston Villa.
