A few weeks ago, Sicario star Emily Blunt caused speculation that former boyfriend Michael Bublé may have been unfaithful to her during their relationship in the mid-2000s, when she coyly avoiding answering questions about his fidelity in a radio interview with Howard Stern. Rumours that Bublé has now claimed are not true.
During the chat with Stern, Blunt was asked outright about the reasons behind the demise of her three-year romance with the Feeling Good singer, to which she appeared to laugh off the question. "I don't know. It's complicated. I never want to talk about it. I can't do it," she admitted. Many people believed that her skirting around the rumours was in some way an admission as to what might have happened between the pair and assumed that there was truth in the allegations that he had cheated.
However, speaking to Entertainment Tonight following Blunt's interview, 40-year-old Bublé stated definitively: "It didn't end because of cheating. It ended because we weren't right for each other, and we are now exactly where we're supposed to be in our lives."
He then unusually went on to sing his ex's praises, even going on to suggest that it was their relationship that set him on the right path and put him in the right frame of mind to be able to meet his current wife. "Emily is a beautiful and loving person, and I'm grateful for the time I had with her, for the relationship," he told the publication. "Without it, I wouldn't have had a chance to fall in love with myself enough to be with a woman like my wife."
Bublé met his wife, Luisana Lopilato in the year he split from Blunt, and they married three years later in Buenos Aires in 2011. In August 2013, they had their first child together and announced that they were expecting their second in July 2015. After her relationship with Bublé ended in 2008, Blunt went on to meet The Office star John Krasinski and the pair got engaged nine months later. They married in 2010 and had their first child together in 2014.
