He may have millions in the bank but even Liam Neeson can't say no to free food. The Hollywood A-lister stunned a Canadian restaurant by turning up on their doorstep after staff put up a humorous sign inviting him to dine there for free.
Big Star Sandwich shop in Vancouver put up a chalkboard sign outside its premises saying ''Liam Neeson eats for free'', after hearing through the grapevine that the 64-year-old star was filming in the area.
Staff got more than they bargained for when the hungry star turned up at their door to collect the promised free meal.
Overwhelmed with excitement and shock, the company shared the unbelievable moment on their Instagram page, along with the caption: "Holy f**k, it worked!"
The image, which showed the actor posing with two employees wearing uniform beside the sign, has racked up thousands of likes with many followers wanting to know if he got his free sandwich.
"We absolutely did not think he'd actually show up," Alex Johrden, director of operations for Big Star Sandwich told HuffPost.
The moment has since spawn hilarious memes with many reworking his famous line in action thriller Taken. One person wrote: "He will find will you, and he will eat at your sandwich shop."
Although it's not known what he ate, Big Star Sandwich have since paid homage to Neeson with a sandwich which has "lots of beef, a one-two-punch of bacon and hickory sticks, and spice that'll get revenge on you tomorrow".
