Mystery UK EuroMillions Winner Scoops £181M Jackpot — Now Richer Than Adele and Dua Lipa
The winning numbers that unlocked the historic jackpot were 12, 14, 27, 44, 50, with Lucky Stars 4 and 12.

A single UK ticket holder has matched all numbers to win a staggering £181 million ($242 million) EuroMillions jackpot, making it the biggest National Lottery win of 2026.
The mystery winner secured the £181,073,415.70 prize in the draw on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. This monumental win catapults the ticket holder into third place on the National Lottery's all-time rich list. To put the scale of the windfall into perspective, the winner is now officially wealthier than pop icons Adele (£170m) and Dua Lipa (£115m).
Andy Carter, Senior Winners' Advisor at Allwyn, confirmed the life-changing win. 'This is incredible news. A single UK ticket holder has scooped the biggest win of 2026 so far,' he stated. 'With a fortune of this size, they are now on a par with global superstars.'
'This jackpot will no doubt change their life, and the lives of the family and friends around them, and even make a difference across entire communities.' Allwyn advisers are now guiding the jackpot winner through the claims process.
The winning numbers that unlocked the historic jackpot were 12, 14, 27, 44, 50, with Lucky Stars 4 and 12.
In February, Sean Henderson from Devon also won $4.8 million and chose the annuity option, receiving $13,391 per month for the next 30 years. The carpenter stopped at his local Co-op because of a full car park, before buying the lucky ticket.
'I had finished work and popped to Lidl to grab some tea,' he said. 'There was literally nowhere to park, so I decided to go to The Co-op instead. 'It was when I walked into The Co-op that I saw The National Lottery stand directly in front of me.' Although he believes the jackpot amount would change his family's life forever, he does not plan to give up carpentry. In time, he plans to purchase a house.
Staggered or Lump-sum Payments?
While you can only select the lump sum payments and avoid taxes on lottery winnings in the UK, the rules are different in the US, where jackpot winners can opt for the lump sum payment, but their winnings would be subject to taxes, and the final payout could be much less than the actual jackpot amount. However, staggered payments through the annuity option allow lottery winners to receive the full jackpot winnings. Note that the total amount of the lottery prize is typically calculated based on the winner choosing this option. The base amount is invested on your behalf, and you earn interest on it for almost three decades.
At the same time, annuity payments can help winners manage their money better and avoid impulsive spending. Prize winners, who are inherently not wealthy, could find it overwhelming to manage large cash amounts. Lifestyle creep is a common phenomenon in which spending increases as income rises. Finding the right way to balance finances during a major lifestyle upgrade is crucial to ensure winnings can last a lifetime. However, a one-time payment can help immediately clear debt, fulfil financial aspirations, and offer more control over the total winnings.
One might feel like helping out family, relatives, and close friends after winning the lottery, but there have been cases where providing financial support has strained relationships over time. At the same time, many friends and even acquaintances who have been out of touch may come forward asking for their fair share upon learning about lottery winnings. Saying 'no' to such requests can be emotionally and financially draining, leading to undesirable conflicts.
Community Impact And Legacy
Beyond personal wealth, National Lottery wins contribute significantly to UK society. Every week, players generate an average of £30 million for National Lottery-funded projects. These funds support local sports clubs, heritage sites, and community initiatives across the country.
For the newest multi-millionaire, the focus now shifts to privacy. While some winners choose to go public, many opt for full anonymity to avoid the social and emotional strain that sudden wealth can place on relationships.
