Country Singer Nat Myers Says Cancer Has 'Snuck Back Up' as He Cancels Charley Crockett Tour Dates

Country and blues singer Nat Myers has withdrawn from his remaining dates with Charley Crockett and the Blue Drifters after saying his cancer had 'snuck back up' and that he needed to focus on treatment.

Myers shared the update on social media after undergoing a new round of cancer scans. He said last-minute medical appointments had made it impossible for him to continue with the remaining dates of the Age of the Ram tour.

Nat Myers Explains His Tour Withdrawal

'I have some last minute appointments that have to happen, that make it impossible for me to be out where I want to be playing music for yall for this leg of the Age of the Ram tour,' Myers wrote on Instagram.

He thanked Crockett and the touring team for their support, describing them as 'some my favorite people in this music thing.' Myers also urged fans to keep their tickets.

'If you got a ticket, I insist you keep going out if you was planning on seeing me,' he wrote. 'They is some the best out there doing it & you won't forget it.'

Myers later apologised for stepping away from the shows and said he would return when possible.

'My apologies. I'll be back out when I can,' he added. 'For now I gotta focus on getting ahead of this thing, it's snuck back up. I'm real lowdown about it, but gotta do what's gotta be done.'

Myers did not specify what the latest scans showed or whether his cancer had progressed. His comments indicated that he needed to prioritise treatment, but they did not establish a medically defined recurrence or prognosis.
