Moto G Forte

Motorola's Moto G budget smartphone has reaped it some stunning success, allowing the company to make a powerful comeback in markets like India, where its sales ramp up "was one of the fastest in the world."

Owing to this success, it looks like Motorola might just have another Moto G variant in the works according to a new tip. Well known leaker @evleaks, through the above picture, is suggesting that Motorola is working on a new Moto G variant called "Forte." Given that @evleaks has maintained a solid track record so far with its leaks, there's a very good chance that this could turn out to be true.

The handset seems to be destined for Latin America and features "increased durability." The image indicates that this purported variant is a little bulkier than the Moto G. Apart from this, there is speculation that the handset might offer features like water-resistance and dust resistance, which has become a popular offering from smartphone makers.

Just like the original Moto G, the 'Forte', if it exists, is expected to pack a 4.5 inch 720p display, quad-core snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. However, this is an assumption and things can be done differently if Motorola has other plans in mind.

The Moto G from Motorola Mobility has been recognised as one of the few phones in the market that offer amazing value and performance at an extremely reasonable price point. The handset has seen immense success in developing markets and is poised to be instrumental in Motorola's second coming in markets such as Asia.
