Nicki Minaj previously said that she wanted to be a wife before becoming a mother, but it seems that Meek Mill has forced her into an exception. The Anaconda hitmaker sparked speculation that she is pregnant with her first child after referring to her boyfriend as her "baby father" during her Pinkprint Tour concert in Burgettstown.

At the end of the show she stunned fans by introducing Meek, real name Robert Rihmeek Williams, to the stage telling the crowd: "Make some noise for my baby father." In the clip making the rounds online, the Dreams and Nightmares rapper responds by raises his hands in elation.

The crowd erupted in screams after what they interpreted to be a pregnancy announcement, with the shock and excitement spilling over into social media.

She later posted a snap of her holding her stomach and smiling happily with her beau, adding weight to what otherwise would have been a flyaway comment.

Meek and Minaj began dating in December 2014, just a few months after the Starships rapper split from her long-time boyfriend Scaff Beezy. They finally went public in February when Minaj shared a snap of her partner planting a kiss on her cheek. Although there was no caption, she looked very pleased with the gesture.

Weeks earlier the Young Money artist revealed that she plans to take a break from music when she starts a family.

"I don't want to work my whole life without ever experiencing the joys of a family. The time is not yet ripe, but when I decide to get married and become a mother, I would like to take a hiatus and dedicate myself completely to my child," she told L'Uomo Vogue magazine.

"Seeing Beyonce with her daughter and her husband was so tender, and it showed me that it is possible to be an animal on stage and a caring mother at the same time."
