Djokovic is the firm favourite to win the third-round clash as he has never lost to his opponent in the previous 10 occasions. The Serbian tennis star will be looking to extend his record when he takes on Seppi on Friday evening.

In the previous round, the 28-year-old registered a comfortable victory over Andreas Haider-Maurer. Djokovic won in straight sets 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 to progress into the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year.

Having won the Australian Open and Wimbledon, and losing the French Open to Stan Wawrinka, Djokovic will be hoping he can win his third Grand Slam of the calendar year later this month.

Meanwhile, Teymuraz Gabashvili gave an initial scare to Seppi after defeating him in the opening set. However, the 31-year-old bounced back to win the next three sets to win the tie 3-6, 6-3, 7-6, 6-1.
