Oscar Pistorius has been convicted of culpable homicide by a South African court over the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Judge Masipa found Pistorius guilty of the charge, which is similar to manslaughter in Britain, on day two of the verdict at North Gauteng Hight Court in Pretoria.
Explaining why she has cleared the fallen star of muder, Masipa said: "There is no basis on which this court can make inferences on why the accused would want to kill the deceased.
"Phone records support the version of the accused. The conduct of the accused is inconsistent with someone wanting to commit murder."
