France's armed police released a video on Tuesday (17 November) of an overnight raid, during a nationwide overnight sweep on suspected Islamist militants following the Paris attacks. The video showed police in body armour entering a home on Monday (16 November) and searching electronics, DVD cases and documents.

French police have arrested 23 people and seized arms including rocket launchers during a wave of overnight raids, Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said. According to the government, 168 homes were raided in France's major cities and elsewhere, and 104 people were put under house arrest in 48 hours. Police seized 31 firearms as well as computer hard drives and telephones.

Illegal drugs were found in 18 of the raids. One Islamist militant suspected of arms and drug dealing was found to have Kalashnikov assault rifles, automatic handguns and bulletproof vests.
