Prince Harry recently gave unsuspecting Waitrose shoppers a pleasant surprise when he dropped into a Kensington branch for some groceries. The 31-year-old British royal snubbed online shopping and opted to buy his own eggs, proving that he wasn't too far-removed from reality to do mundane tasks.

Although the world's favourite flamed-haired royal tried to keep a low profile in a black baseball cap pulled over his eyes and a matching wind jacket with the the collar pulled up, eagled-eyed shoppers quickly recognised him. One fan shared a picture of the Prince at the till on Twitter, writing: "God love Prince Harry at the self-service till in Waitrose."

Prince William lends his voice to worthy causes and Kate Middleton is an advocate of high street brands but with his boyish good looks, rebellious streak and larger-than-life personality, it is not hard to see why many people have warmed to Harry and consider him the most down-to-earth. IBTimes UK recaps a few other occasions we forgot he was blue-blooded.

Smoking Shisha

In 2014 Harry lived up to his 'Party Prince' reputation as he partied with friends on board a yacht in Abu Dhabi. Images published by TMZ, showed the monarch sampling the flavoured tobacco and putting the hookah to his lips.

What happens in Las Vegas doesn't stay in Las Vegas

Back in 2012, he became embroiled in a scandal after images of him naked in a Las Vegas hotel were leaked online. The snaps were reportedly taken during a game of strip billiards with six young women.

Serial photobomber

In 2014, New Zealand officials were treated to a royal photobomb as they posed for a selfie at the Commonwealth games. Prince Harry followed in the footsteps of his grandmother, the Queen, by sticking his head into the frame and giving two thumbs up as former Olympic boxer Trevor Shailer, Sir Gordon Tietjens and Gary Hermansson took a picture at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre.

Letting loose

During his royal tour of the Caribbean in 2012, Harry showed off some of his best dance moves and let loose at a street party in Belize's capital of Belmopan. He appeared relaxed and carefree as he melted the hearts of local beauties, drank rum and joked with the crowds- while wearing blue suede shoes!
