The agent of Braga midfielder Rafa Silva has confirmed he is working on a Premier League transfer for his player. The 22-year-old Portuguese international has has scored 25 goals in 90 appearances for his current club, and has been heavily linked with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United in recent times.

Antonio Araujo, who represents the player, revealed he is trying to negotiate a summer transfer for the midfielder, although he refused to reveal which club he is dealing with. "Our client, Rafa Silva, sees with very good eyes the possibility of playing in the Premier League," he told Sport Witness. "We are working towards achieving this objective."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly joined the hotly-contested race for the player's signature, with the Anfield club looking to strike a deal for Silva this summer. However, the Merseysiders will face competition from their eternal rivals Manchester United, who are also interested in Silva's services.

Indeed, United have been linked with a number of Portuguese-based players in recent months, which has only furthered the rumours of Jose Mourinho replacing Louis van Gaal at the end of the current season.

Benfica's dynamic young midfielder Renato Sanches has been strongly linked with a move to United in the summer, while Sporting Lisbon midfielder João Mário is another rumoured target.
