Nadal once again showed why he is the king of clay after registering another easy victory in the second round of Roland Garros against his compatriot Nicolas Almagro. The 28-year-old won the tie in straight sets 6-4, 6-3, 6-1.

The former World No 1 has set his sights on winning the competition for a record 10th time. No player has won the French Open as many times as Nadal has.

Kuznetsov had a rough second round tie against Jurgen Melzer. The Russian won the first set, only to lose the second. However, he bounced back by winning the third set on a tie breaker, before sealing the match after a win in the fourth set.

Kuznetsov won the tie 6-1, 5-7, 7-6, 7-5. The 24-year-old will be hoping for an upset by defeating Nadal in the third round.
