Robert Pattinson has revealed that he is open to the idea of dating a French woman.

The 27-year-old actor said he was impressed with French model Camille Rowe, with whom he shared a passionate kiss in the Dior Homme fragrance advertisement.

"When everybody was watching the footage of the kissing scene, I was already embarrassed," he told Le Figaro magazine, "Suddenly, Camille said 'Oh la la!' I glared at her and told her 'Are you kidding me?' I thought that the British would say 'Oh la la!' as a way to make fun of French. I didn't think that French women would say it for real. Then I realised that I would like to have a French girlfriend with all her clichés."

Pattinson ended his relationship with American actress Kristen Stewart last year, after it was confirmed she cheated on the Remember Me actor with British director Rupert Sanders. Though they patched up their differences and started dating again, the two broke up in May, after Pattinson pulled out off 27th birthday celebrations planned by Stewart.

The two rose to fame after they starred together in Twilight, the hugely successful vampire-themed fantasy series of films, based on novels of the same name by Stephenie Meyer. Stewart played Bella Swan and Pattinson was vampire Edward Cullen. The Harry Potter actor said he missed having a life out of the spotlight.

"It's strange, you don't have a normal life anymore. You spend much time trying to fight it, but in the end you find another way to live," he revealed in a recent interview with GQ's Spanish edition, "People don't realise how lonely you are. In any case, I feel fortunate because success didn't reach me very young, at least, I had the opportunity to have a life before."

"When you become famous, it's easy for some people to hate you just because you are famous. That's why, sometimes, you beat yourself up," he added.
