The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx boasts of a Super AMOLED advanced capacitive touch screen and a virtual keyboard which enables multi-touch and swipe. The 4.3-inch smartphone has a resolution of 960x540 pixels at 256 pixels per inch (ppi). In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S2 also touts a Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touch screen, with a resolution of 800x480 pixels at 217 ppi.

Processor:

The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core and dual-channel RAM processor. The PowerVR SGX540 provides support to powerful graphics. In contrast, the Galaxy S2 contains a 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 dual-core CPU and Exynos chipset.

Camera:

The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx includes an eight megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. It offers 1080p HD video recording.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S2 also has an eight megapixel rear-camera which features AutoFocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection and image stabilisation. It has a two megapixel secondary camera.

Operating System:

The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx runs on the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS, which is now upgradable to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. On the other hand, the Galaxy S2 runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It can now be upgraded to Android 4.0 ICS.

Battery:

The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx has an amazing Li-Ion 3300mAh standard battery which allows a stand-by time of up to 380 hours and talk time of up to 21.5 hours.

Samsung's Galaxy S2 comes with a Li-Ion 1650mAh battery. It offers a stand-by time of up to 710 hours in 2G and 610 hours in 3G. It provides a talk time of up to 18 hours 20 minutes in 2G and 8 hours 40 minutes in 3G devices.

Storage:

The powerful Motorola Droid Razr Maxx has internal storage of 8 GB and 1GB RAM. The Galaxy S2 offers either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage and also 1GB RAM. Both devices have a microSD card slot allowing for expansion up to 32GB.
