Colombian singer Shakira has posted an adorable picture of herself holding son Milan on Facebook.

"In the tranquil French countryside!" she captioned the image.

The 36-year-old singer, who was named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2003, welcomed her son, with FC Barcelona and Spain footballer Gerard Pique, on 22 January at a hospital in Barcelona. Shakira and Pique met when they were featured together in a music video for the theme song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. They confirmed their relationship in March 2011, with a Facebook post and photograph of the two.

The two-time Grammy Award-winning singer is seen flaunting her post-pregnancy abs on the cover of Self magazine's September issue and also opened up about her life, before and after giving birth.

"I did Zumba throughout my pregnancy. That helped me not gain too much weight," she revealed.

The Hips Don't Lie singer said that being happy in one's own skin is the most important thing to boost self confidence.

"I don't obsess over my flaws, because I see my body as a whole. Besides, I think men appreciate confidence more than perfection," she said.

Meanwhile, during an appearence on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in May, Shakira detailed the moment she saw her baby for the first time.

"Well, you know delivering a baby is not as idyllic as people make it seem. Don't expect that he is going to be rosy cheeks, cherub when he is born. Actually when I saw mine, I was like, oh my god. He is purple and wrinkled. What is this? So at first it's hard to deal with a lot of the things that you have to deal with," the singer said then.
